Guests were greeted by ushers dressed in exquisite Croatian costumes while the choir sang
from the majestic loft to the guests below who were enjoying delicious hors d’oeuvres.
Mezzo soprano Gisèle Fredette was the MC for this black-tie event and treated guests to a beautiful rendition of O Holy Night.
The night featured an array of music during dinner showcasing the CCCS Choir and our Merit Award recipients Ivica Balaban and Julijana Hajdinjak, as well as a string quartet, tamburaši and trumpeter.
Auctioneer Shauna Wilde humorously engaged the guests in a spirited live auction featuring outstanding gifts generously donated by friends and patrons of CCCS. The CCCS is grateful for both the unique live and the many varied silent auction items ensuring that guests did not leave empty handed.
The award-winning professional ballroom dancers, Mentor Sejdiu & Milena Kolarova, opened the dance floor with a classical tango. Guests quickly joined them on the dance floor to the strains of the superb dance orchestra and danced the night away. This memorable evening ended with guests and choir members joyfully singing together around the piano accompanied by our talented Artistic Director Edward J. Mavrinac.
